Prayer List: Terrorist Attack in Turkey

The BBC reports, “A gun and bomb attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport has killed 41 people, at least 13 of them foreigners, and injured more than 230, officials say.”

According to CNN guest writer Soner Cagaptay, “If ISIS is indeed behind this attack, as the U.S. and Turkey say, this would be a declaration of war. Turkey’s vengeance will come down like rain from hell.”

Prayer List

* Pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort the families and friends of the deceased.
* Pray for healing for the injured.
* Pray for the Holy Spirit to convict terrorists of the sin and hatred in their hearts and to draw them to repentance.
* Pray for protection for people listed on ISIS kill lists.
* Pray for Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his administration to make wise political decisions regarding the safety of Turkey.

* Our heavenly Father has given us the gift of life and His only begotten Son died as a sacrifice for our sins. Praise Him.
* Thank God for our earthly fathers.
* Pray for fathers to be the spiritual leaders in their homes by being godly role models for their children and sacrificially loving their wives.
* Pray for fathers to be born again that do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

AFP reports, “The Taliban are using child sex slaves to mount crippling insider attacks on police in southern Afghanistan, exploiting the pervasive practice of “bacha bazi” — paedophilic boy play — to infiltrate security ranks …”

* Pray for the Gospel to reach the Taliban in Pakistan and for them to repent of their sins and find salvation in Jesus Christ.
* Pray for sex slaves to obtain freedom and to experience salvation through Christ and emotion healing from the abuse they’ve endured.
* Pray for Afghanistan’s Christians to be bold in sharing their faith.

Prayer List: Massacre at Orlando Gay Nightclub


CNN reports, “An American-born man who’d pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation’s worst terror attack since 9/11, authorities said.”

ISIS recently released a kill list including more than 8,000 names. Infowars reports that the list included eight females in Orlando.

Prayer List: Unreligious Outnumber Christians in the UK

The New York Times reports on the decline of Christianity in the United Kingdom: “For Christian believers, the most alarming news came in recent days in a report based on a British Social Attitudes survey, which concluded that, for the first time, the number of people in England and Wales identifying themselves as having no religious affiliation (49 percent) exceeded those who cleaved to Christianity (44 percent).”

There is also a growing number of unreached people groups in the United Kingdom because of immigration. According to the Joshua Project, these 32 people groups represent 4,758,000 people.

Prayer List

* Pray for repentance and revival in the Church of England.
* Pray for the Holy Spirit to bring conviction on adults that grew up in the church but abandoned their faith.
* Pray for Christians in the UK to have discernment and reject the prosperity gospel and other false teaching.
* Pray for new church plants to evangelize and disciple the unreached people groups.
