In a lawsuit filed last week against Baylor University, a Baylor graduate alleges, “Based upon investigation, in the span of four years — 2011 through 2014 — Plaintiff is aware of at least 52 acts of rape, including five gang rapes, by not less than 31 different football players under [Coach] Brile.”

* Pray that if anyone is falsely accused of a crime, that they will be exonerated.

Saturday in a violent massacre in a Brazilian prison 26 people were killed. The Associated Press reports, “The riot was thought to have been a clash between Brazil’s biggest drug gang, the First Capital Command (PCC), and a group allied to its main rival Red Command …”

* Pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort the families and friends of the deceased.
* Pray for physical healing for the injured.
* Pray for gang members in Brazil’s prisons to forsake crime and violence.
* Pray for drug addicts to overcome their addictions.
* Pray for God to raise up laborers to boldly share the Gospel throughout Brazil.
* Pray for the members of Brazil’s drug cartels to be born again and become disciple makers.

In 2017 we should prayerfully work towards completing the ministry that God has given us because each day brings us closer to the return of Jesus Christ. Our time on earth is limited.

Prayer List

* Thank God for providing for our needs and being with us during 2016.
* Confess any sins.
* Pray for God to raise up workers to bring in a global spiritual harvest.
* Pray for the Holy Spirit to prepare our steps and to give us discernment so that we will not stray from God’s will.
* Pray for opportunities to share the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ with family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors and enemies.
* Pray for the Holy Spirit to build a sense of urgency in the body of Christ, the Church, to complete the ministry Jesus has given us.
